The new edition of Strategic Arts Management master class will take place on May 17-18th, 2014 at the headquarters of Frigoriferi Milanesi.

SAM Master Class responds to the demand for new design concepts in the cultural system in order to explore in a more efficient and sustainable way the markets of art and culture. It is a critical discussion focused on the experimentation of new forms of creation, production and knowledge sharing among young professionals of culture and a multidisciplinary team of international experts.

During the two days the ideas and project experiences will be shared, focused and analyzed from multiple perspectives: the emerging markets of the art; the strategic options of the arts manager; the management of financial, technological and human resources; communication tools; relations with the territory.

It is a unique opportunity to create a new cultural network between planners, experts and organizations of the art system.

SAM master class is aimed at professionals of the cultural and creative enterprises; creatives driven by the desire to realize a cultural project; young managers and experts related to cultural planning; graduate and undergraduate students who aspire to work in the cultural sector and non-profit; researchers, academics and all those interested in spending two days full of creative brainstorming and cultural training.

Method and location

The method of sharing and learning on which Strategic Arts Management is based is the action learning, which facilitates and optimizes the comparison and sharing of real experiences and the definition of effective scenarios through the sharing and action generated in the course of the meeting.

The format proposed exceeds the logic of the classroom and chooses an unconventional place, a place of knowledge and experience sharing, to promote a new style of open management, creative and focus on sharing and growth of the intellectual capital, valuing ideas and talents. The experts attending will present the excellence in the design and culture management and ensure a multidisciplinary approach, inviting participants to think different.
